But one can use the microkorg as a midi keyboard and a synthesizer without both the notes being played. All one needs to do is to turn the global off, and it will only play back notes on the midi. The Alesis micron does a more FM stuff. It produces a sterile sound compared to the microkorg. However the Alesis micron has better specs with four multitimbral parts and eight voices. But the tiny screen of the Alesis micron annoys some people and all the part placed underneath. Though the microkorg on the other hand may not be the ideal one is easy to handle and move around.
